In reply to your Despatch No. 369 of 12th. December, I have the honour to inform you that the Registrar of Companies reports as follows:-
"Ordinance No. 5 of 1891 appears to have had an excellent effect in curbing gambling in shares. An
instance of this was the recent rubber boom, which had
far less disastrous results in this Colony than else-
-where."
